Gellonghui, April 25 | Pantheon Macro’s chief euro zone economist Claus Vistesen said that French factory activity is declining rapidly and may drag down the entire economy.
French manufacturing confidence unexpectedly fell this month, with orders falling and production and employment expectations falling, a survey showed on Thursday.
Vistesen wrote in the report: \”Weak manufacturing sentiment threatens broader growth in the second quarter of this year in the euro zone\’s second-largest economy.
Our baseline forecast for economic growth of 0.3% in the second quarter faces downside risks.
